With its privileged position inside the Palace curtilage, presenting uninterrupted views over the 17th-century Walled Garden, this is the most commanding garden outlook on the entire estate.
Recently restored with exquisite care, the cottage blends heritage elegance with quiet luxury. The front overlooks Bishop Auckland’s handsome Marketplace and Clock Tower, while the rear opens onto a private world of our sweeping Walled Gardens and floral grandeur.
Inside, you’ll find three bedrooms, exclusive garden access and interiors that are refined, restful and unmistakably English. Whether you’re enjoying tea in the garden or watching the light soften over the grounds, this is a stay defined by beauty, tranquillity and timeless charm.
Outside there is a charming lawned cottage garden with seating and barbecue for guests to enjoy.
Your stay also includes a complimentary Bishop’s Key annual pass (RRP £30 per guest), unlocking seasonal access to 5 amazing attractions in Bishop Auckland. Private off-street parking is provided and for a modest additional charge, up to two dogs are most welcome.
